About the event
The Philosophical Café Innsbruck is an institution that has existed for over 20 years at the interface between academic philosophy and the public.
Three to four times per semester, lectures are held on various topics and issues that relate to current social discourses and debates.
The focus is on shared discussion and exchange on philosophical problems as well as the aim of presenting and discussing philosophical considerations in a clear manner that is understandable to a broad audience.
As part of the 1st Philosophical Café of the 2025/2026 winter semester, we will speak with Samuel Camenzind on the topic "Gene scissors, Frankenstein, paper tiger: xenotransplantation in the tension between medical progress and moral responsibility."
