VAS Members have actively been engaging in knowledge dissemination, especially as it relates to matters concerning animals and ethics.
Carlo Salzani appeared in episode 1 of the Tiereethik weiterdenken, a German speaking podcast focused on animals and ethics. Carlo discusses his recent book, The Limits of Imagination, and delves into the world of empathy.
Doris Schneeberger also appeared on Knowing Animals, an animal studies podcast in which Josh Milburn talks to scholars about a piece of their work. In this episode Doris discusses a universal declaration of rights for animals, one of the key themes of her book Envisioning a Better Future for Nonhuman Animals.
And, finally Leonie Bossert, together with Virginie Simoneau-Gilbert, published a piece in Psyche that questions the extent to which we should embrace the potential of AI to facilitate communication with nonhuman animals.
Members of VAS are doing some incredible work. Have listened to or read any of the above? What are our thoughts?
