Hi there,

It is hard to believe that we are at the end of August and the Summer season is coming to a close. But here we are! It has been a hot, relatively quiet few months in Vienna and we hope you managed to have some calm wherever you are.

As always VAS will be hosting a Winter Lecture Series. We have some exciting guests in store and look forward to sharing more details with you on that next month.

For now, we are easing back into the Semester and sharing some opportunities and events that have come up.

"According to current knowledge, four minnow species live in Austrian waters. Reading Group

Lisa Dickel and Konstantin Deininger are organising a reading group to discuss Wild Animal Ethics: The Ethics of Wildlife Management and Conservation. The aim is to discuss one chapter every two weeks. The first meeting is on the 18th of September 2026.
