Welcome to the Vienna Animal Studies group

We are proud to launch The Vienna Animal Studies group which comprises of scholars and activists with interests in animals, the ways in which we know them, and how we can create more just socio-political futures. Vienna is home to over twenty universities and squirreled away inside their walls are individuals asking fascinating and important questions about animals. What is missing is a common meeting place for these scholars to meet, discuss, and share their ideas. Enter the Vienna Animal Studies group, an interdisciplinary social and academic space.
